Biography:

Melissa W. Wright’s work investigates the dynamics linking politics, economy and culture in rapidly changing situations in northern Mexico and along its border with the United States. Currently, her work focuses on governance, state terror, and social movements in Mexico and across the Americas. Her field research shifts between sites in northern Mexico, the Mexico-US border and other regions in Latin America.
